Xiangxi Golden Tea shines at Hunan Tea Expo

The 15th Hunan Tea Expo recently concluded with remarkable success. During the event, Xiangxi Golden Tea of Jishou City achieved impressive sales, totaling 2.11 million yuan.

This expo focused on technology empowerment and industrial integration, aiming to promote the high-quality development of colorful Hunan tea. There were 58 main tea-producing counties in the whole province as well as renowned tea companies and brands participating in the expo.


 
12 companies of Jishou City showcased their high-quality tea, achieving 2.11 million yuan in total sales, including 1.59 million yuan from orders, 125,500 yuan from on-site sales, 24,500 yuan from livestreaming sales, and 370,000 yuan from contract sales. Jishou City also established intentional cooperation with leading tea enterprises in the prefecture to further expand the sales channels of Xiangxi Golden Tea.


 
Jishou City was recognized as the Hunan tea pilot county and 5 local tea enterprises won ten gold awards for tea products. Local mainstream media extensively promoted Xiangxi Golden Tea, enhancing its brand popularity and influence.

In recent years, Jishou City has placed great importance on establishing the Xiangxi Golden Tea brand as a driving force for rural revitalization and industrial development. The city has made substantial progress in exploring the brand value and market potential of golden tea. The efforts have contributed significantly to the high-quality development of Xiangxi’s tea industry.


 
Jishou City boasts a tea plantation of 155,000 mu (about 10,333 hectares) and an annual production of over 1,680 tons of dry tea, resulting in a comprehensive output value exceeding 1.2 billion yuan.

Jishou City has earned many prestigious titles successively, such as a “national key tea-producing county”, one of “ten key counties and cities promoting rural revitalization through Tea in Hunan in 2021” and one “top ten ecological tea-producing counties in Hunan Province”. For five consecutive years since 2018, Jishou has proudly held the honor of being one of the “top 100 tea counties in China,” with the tea industry a pillar industry for the prosperity of local farmers.
